Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy outline how Foveo protects the dignity and privacy of bereaved families and their online guests and how we help funeral homes fulfil their obligation to protect personal information. The following is a plain-language summary.

1. What You Agree To (View our Terms of Service)
When you use Foveo’s website or services (including live-streamed funeral broadcasts and recordings), you enter into a legal agreement with Foveo Memorial Services Inc. (“Foveo”) and accept the Terms of Service, as summarized here:

A. The Services Foveo Provides
We provide a platform for live streaming and viewing funeral service broadcasts, including memorial pages, family-curated and published photo and file galleries, remembrances, and related features and content.

B. How You May Use Our Services
You may access our services for lawful, respectful use only. You must be at least 18 years old and agree to follow all terms and applicable laws. By using our services, you agree to abide by our Terms of Service.

C. Your Responsibilities
You must provide accurate information when registering and not misuse the service. You may submit your own photos, videos, and text, but must not upload any copyrighted, prohibited or harmful material.

D. Legal Protections
Foveo disclaims warranties about content and uninterrupted service and limits its liability for issues outside its control.

2. How We Treat Your Personal Information (View our Privacy Policy)

Foveo collects information to provide and improve its live stream and recording services and help families and funeral homes deliver meaningful guest experiences. Here’s how that works:

A. What Foveo May Collect
The personal information you provide: Your name, email, the number of people watching with you, and similar details when you register for a stream. We may also collect and analyze usage and technical data, including information about how you interact with the our website and services (e.g., pages viewed, device data, features used, etc.).

B. Why Foveo Collects It
To give you secure access to the live stream broadcast and recording you registered for. To inform the bereaved family or funeral home of who plans to attend online. To operate, manage, improve, and secure our funeral experience platform. To communicate with you about service details or updates.

C. How We Use and Share It
In compliance with industry standards and data protection and privacy laws, like GDPR and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, Foveo shares your registration information securely with the family’s designated representative and with the funeral services provider, enabling them to know who is attending online. Other guests cannot see your information. Data may also be shared with Foveo’s service partners (for message delivery, analytics, and video access).

D. Your Rights
You can ask us to delete your personal information or give you access to what we’ve collected about you, subject to legal exceptions, by sending an email to [email protected].

3. Why We Invite Guests to Register

In certain cases, Foveo may require online guests to register before watching a live broadcast or recording. Guest registration helps us to assure a private, secure , and dignified online guest experience, aligned with the expectations of bereaved families and their funeral professionals. Here are three ways registration helps:

A. Allows Families to Know Who’s Attending Online
Just as a guest book at an in-person service shows who was present, the registration list allows families and funeral providers to see and honor those who registered to attend virtually.

B. Protects Family Privacy and Dignity
Funeral services are deeply personal events. Rather than open public viewing (e.g., on social platforms where anyone can join), registration creates a secure, private link for each guest, helping ensure only invited or known guests can access the stream, thus preserving privacy and respect for each bereaved family.

C. Enhances Communication
Registered guests receive a confirmation of registration, event reminders, support information, and links to join the live broadcast and watch the recording later. Access to this information improves the online guest experience without adding burden to the family or funeral home.
